Almost 3 million digital items – images, video, data, 3D items – from the Smithsonian’s collections are now available with a CC0 license. This license allows anyone to use, remix, transform, and share these assets without asking permission from the Smithsonian. According to the FAQ, the Smithsonian will release over 3 million items throughout 2020, then will continue adding items as they are digitized, researched, and published online.
