The CT OER Summit will be held in person on Friday, March 8 at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. The Summit, sponsored by the CT OER Coordinating Council, provides faculty, departmental leadership, and OER advocates in Connecticut higher education the opportunity to learn effective practices in OER implementation, collaboration, strategy, and research. The Summit will feature a keynote presentation by Professor Andrea Lanoux, Elizabeth S. Kruidenier ’48 Professor of Slavic Studies, who will discuss the open pedagogy project she created for her first-year experience course, Being Ukraine. Full schedule below:

OER are freely available online teaching and learning materials that can be used, shared, and adapted. As an alternative to traditional textbooks, OER save students money, advance equity, facilitate academic freedom, and support models of learning that empower students as co-creators of knowledge.
