Pressbooks is a platform used to create, customize and host your original content, such as an open educational resource or a digital scholarship project. It can also be used as a teaching tool to engage students and create real-world assignments that can be shared with the public.
The newly published Connecticut College Pressbooks Creator Guide covers the basics of setting up and editing a Pressbook to advanced topics such as creating open books with students. The guide includes practical tips on how to choose an open license and fairly represent student contributions in the finished product.
Faculty can use Pressbooks in open pedagogy projects as the foundation for fostering student agency and engagement.
