Research Support & Curricular Technology is partnering with the Center for Teaching and Learning to provide a variety of development opportunities this summer.
Fall Course Development Seminar
The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) and Research Support & Curricular Technology (RS&CT) are working together to offer Fall Course Development Seminars. Seminar objectives include: revise or redesign courses using Backward Course Design, develop plans to incorporate the Community of Inquiry Framework into courses, evaluate courses using Universal Design for Learning, make intentional and focused technology choices, and contribute to and learn from a community of scholar-educators.
The two-week long course development seminars will be offered twice, from July 6 to July 17, and from July 27 to August 7. Each seminar will include four synchronous meetings which will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 AM to noon. We ask that participants commit to participating fully in the asynchronous and synchronous components of these training seminars, and for this reason registration is required.
For those who are unable to attend the synchronous seminar, we invite you to join our self-paced seminar (click the link to enroll yourself in the course site). The seminar, delivered through Moodle, will walk you through the revision or redesign of courses for remote delivery. All materials and exercises from the synchronous seminar are available to work through as your time allows.
CTL & Technology Workshops
The CTL and RS&CT staff will lead workshops throughout the summer. Registration is available by choosing the workshops you want to attend from the calendar below. The calendar is also available in Google Calendar.
Individual Consultation
Faculty may meet individually with CTL and RS&CT staff as needed to answer questions, select, and implement appropriate technologies. To schedule a meeting, email with the topics you’d like to discuss to teachtech@conncoll.edu (RS&CT), or Michael Reder (reder@conncoll.edu).
