
The Connecticut College OER Grant provides funding and staff support to faculty who wish to create or integrate OER into a course. Applications are due December 15. Adoption and Revision of Existing OER
Four $500 grants available for Spring 2022 implementation
- Identify and select existing OER that are in line with course outcomes and have the quality and rigor to maintain the integrity of the selected course.
- Incorporate selected OER into one course, course materials should be free to students
- As needed, revise, remix, or create new supplemental materials.
- Submit a final report.
- Advocate for OER use at Connecticut College by participating in workshops, meetings, and related events.
Creation of New OER
One $5,000 grant available for spring 2022 or academic year 2022-23 implementation
- Create new OER suitable for the course under consideration (ex. Form and Content by Derek Turner).
- Course materials created under this grant must be free to students and shared publicly with a Creative Commons license through Connecticut College’s Digital Repository.
- Created materials must be used in classes taught in the spring 2022 semester or academic year 2022-23.
- The quality and effectiveness of created materials must be assessed through a student survey or alternative method.
- Advocate for OER use at Connecticut College by participating in workshops, meetings, and related events.
Applications should be developed with library staff to ensure that the project can be adequately supported. The award for this category is $5,000 to offset the significant time required to research, write, and implement new course material. Please contact us with questions.
