Tuesdays, 2:30 – 4:00 pm
January 30, February 27, March 26, April 30, May 14
This faculty learning community, sponsored by RS&CT and the CTL, will explore the ever-changing landscape of AI tools and their possible uses for teaching and learning. Our goal will be to collaboratively discover the possibilities and complexities of generative AI in higher education, consider its integration into teaching and learning, and leverage our collective and diverse experiences and wisdom.
Whether you are an AI skeptic, optimist, or something in-between, you will find a home in this learning community. The purpose is not to persuade people to change their stance about AI, but help gain a balanced and informed perspective through experimentation and dialogue.
Meeting topics, readings, and tools will be selected by participants, with guidance from Information Services staff and the Center for Teaching & Learning. Possible topics include: Introduction to Generative AI Tools, AI and Creative Expression, Case Studies of AI in Education.
Participants should complete this form before Tuesday, January 23 expressing their interest in participating. Participants are expected to attend all five meetings, which will take place in person. Meeting topics, readings, and tools will be selected by participants, with guidance from Information Services staff and the Center for Teaching & Learning.
